Proudly Serving Bahama

Mission Statement

The primary mission of Bahama Volunteer Fire Department is to protect the life and property of the citizens we serve by responding to all emergencies while maintaining a postive community image through training and community involvement.

A Department Like No Other

Bahama Volunteer Fire Department is a combination department composed of dedicated part-time staff and volunteers. Our members serve in both suppression and auxiliary roles and form the backbone of our operations through their commitment and service.

We are a community-driven, family-oriented department built on professionalism, pride, and service. Our members are highly trained and certified — prepared to respond to any emergency with confidence and care.

We protect a large, rural response area covering 58 square miles, including a 9-mile stretch of Highway 501, Lake Michie, Little River Reservoir, and Falls Lake. Bahama Fire Department is proud to provide a one-of-a-kind service, built on readiness, trust, and an unwavering commitment to the people we serve.

We’re always looking for new members to join our family. Whether you’re experienced or just getting started, there’s a place for you here.
